Southmead Rest Home

Southmead Rest Home provides residential care and accommodation to up to 16 older people in a adapted building within a residential area. At inspection, 12 people were using the service. Residents reported feeling safe, and staff had completed safeguarding training with clear understanding of their responsibilities to recognise and report concerns. Risk assessments were regularly reviewed and monitored to prevent avoidable harm, with staffing levels sufficient to meet people's care needs and lifestyle choices.

The home maintained safe recruitment practices and administered medicines safely. Infection prevention and control procedures followed best practice standards. Staff completed assessments identifying each person's care, support and lifestyle needs, ensuring individualised support was provided.
