Southcrest Nursing Home

Southcrest Nursing Home, in Worcestershire, provides care and support for up to 40 people, including older people and those living with dementia, physical disability or sensory impairment. At the time of the assessment, 24 people were living at the home, and the CQC rated it Good overall, an improvement on its previous requires improvement rating.

Inspectors found strong governance, safe medicines management and robust recruitment, with enough staff including a dedicated activities coordinator. People and relatives described staff as kind and attentive, and felt safe and well cared for, though some relatives felt more staff and activities were needed. Care was responsive to individual needs, with people's choices, health needs and end of life wishes respected.
