About South Collingham Hall

South Collingham Hall is a residential care home in Nottinghamshire, providing personal care and support to older people, including some living with dementia. Further details on the service can be found in the findings below.

South Collingham Hall is a care home providing personal care and support to up to 33 people, including some living with dementia. Fifteen people were living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC found significant failings in safety and leadership, with risks not properly identified or managed, incomplete care records, weak safeguarding processes, and unsafe medicines management.

Staffing levels, particularly at night, were insufficient, and governance systems failed to pick up serious concerns.

Inspectors did find that staff were kind, attentive and knew people well, and mealtimes were calm and pleasant. Relatives generally felt their family members were safe and cared for, though many raised concerns about low staffing, poor communication after incidents, and a lack of meaningful activity. Overall, the service requires improvement, with leadership rated inadequate.
