The Troc Care Home

The Troc provides personal care to younger and older adults with physical disabilities and those living with dementia across two floors plus a purpose-built extension, currently accommodating 36 of its 64 available spaces. Residents described their care as excellent, kind and understanding, with staff providing personalised support that reflected their choices and wishes. The home maintains comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures, with trained staff confident in identifying and reporting concerns. A dedicated housekeeping team upholds high hygiene standards and manages infection prevention effectively, with plans underway to modernise the original building following the recent extension.

Staff are recruited safely and receive comprehensive training alongside regular supervisions and support from management. The team's feedback and improvement suggestions are acted upon. Care plans are reviewed regularly with involvement from residents and families, while a robust audit system helps identify changing needs and ensures the service adapts accordingly.
