Seaview Nursing Home

Seaview Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 91 people with nursing needs, including Parkinson's, diabetes and heart failure, many of whom also live with dementia. At the time of assessment, 49 people lived there across separate units for general nursing, dementia care and mental health support. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall.

Inspectors found care plans and risk assessments were not always up to date, staff deployment fell short in some areas, and unpleasant odours had not been managed. Governance and auditing had lapsed for several months, and communication with external professionals had deteriorated. Despite this, staff were found to be kind and attentive, falls had reduced, and residents and relatives spoke positively about the care provided.
