Scalford Court Care Home

Scalford Court is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for older people. The CQC found that overall the service requires improvement. Staffing levels and skill mix were not always maintained, and not all staff had up to date training, supervision or competency checks.

Care plans were incomplete or not reviewed after changes in need, and oversight of authorised restrictions was inconsistent.

Inspectors found leadership and governance lacking, with many staff feeling unsupported and unable to speak up. However, people and relatives spoke positively about the care received, describing staff as kind and attentive, and said they felt safe and treated with dignity and respect.
