Salthouse Road

Salthouse Road is a care home for autistic people and people with a learning disability, supporting up to seven people at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated it Requires Improvement overall, finding continued breaches around safety and governance, including gaps in risk assessment and inconsistent record keeping. Improvements identified at previous inspections had not been fully embedded into practice.

Despite this, inspectors found positive, kind care, with people and relatives speaking warmly of staff and the registered manager's approachable, responsive style. Staff understood safeguarding duties and worked well with health professionals. However, more work was needed to ensure people were involved in decisions about their care and the running of the service.
