Salt Hill Care Centre

Salt Hill Care Centre provides nursing and residential care for up to 53 adults, including people living with dementia, mental health conditions, autism and learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, 28 people lived across three of its four units, with one closed for refurbishment.

The CQC found staff were caring, knew people well and supported them to eat, drink and access healthcare, with people and families involved in decisions. However, inspectors found ongoing concerns around staffing levels, infection control, medicines management and the environment, along with weak governance systems, resulting in a breach of regulation and an overall rating of requires improvement.
