Oxford House Nursing Home

Oxford House Nursing Home provides nursing and residential care for up to 34 adults, including people living with dementia, sensory impairments, mental health conditions or physical conditions. The CQC rated the service as requires improvement overall, identifying breaches relating to the environment and to governance, including gaps in oversight of covert medicines, some staff language, and missing risk assessments.

Inspectors found staff generally knew people well, involved them in decisions, and supported their healthcare and eating needs effectively. People and relatives felt safe and spoke positively about approachable management. However, one staff member was heard speaking derogatorily to a person, and improvements were needed to make the environment more suitable for people living with dementia.
