Mountbatten Grange

Mountbatten Grange provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 72 older people, some living with dementia, across three floors in one adapted building. At inspection, 38 people were using the service. People and relatives felt the service was safe, with systems in place to protect from abuse and staff understanding safeguarding procedures. Medicines were stored well and records showed people received prescribed medications. Staffing levels were adequate to meet people's needs, though some feedback indicated delays in responding to call bells—the manager took action to monitor improvement.

Staff coordinated effectively with health care practitioners and supported people to have maximum choice and control in their lives. Agency staff use had decreased over time. People expressed satisfaction with meal variety and quality, noting improvements had been made.
