About Rose Tree House

Rose Tree House is a nursing home in Northumberland, providing care for older and younger adults with a range of needs. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Rose Tree House is a care home providing nursing and personal care for up to 44 older and younger adults, including people living with dementia, physical disability or sensory needs. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding a warm, person-centred culture where people felt safe, respected and involved in their care. Staff were described as kind and approachable, and end-of-life care was handled with sensitivity.

Inspectors found some shortfalls in medicines management, including gaps in PRN protocols, incomplete records and insecure storage of returned medicines, along with areas for improvement in nutritional support for modified diets. Audits had identified these issues but action was not always timely. Leadership responded positively, and feedback on activities, while mostly good, was mixed.
