Wentworth Grange

Wentworth Grange accommodates up to 51 older people, including those living with dementia, across two distinct units with shared outdoor grounds. At inspection, 46 residents were living there. The home demonstrated some positive aspects of medicines management and staff showed sound knowledge of residents' needs.

However, the service lacked coherent systems for identifying patterns and trends in care. Audits were completed but not done rigorously or systematically, meaning opportunities for improvement were missed. Some aspects of medicines administration did not always follow current good practice, and records needed improvement. Internal investigations were not always conducted thoroughly, with unclear lessons learned after incidents. The culture was not always open, with delays in sharing information with relevant agencies.
