About Lindisfarne Crawcrook

Lindisfarne Crawcrook is a nursing home in Gateshead, providing nursing and personal care to adults, including some people living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Lindisfarne Crawcrook provides nursing and personal care for up to 60 people, including some living with dementia. Inspectors found overall good-quality care, with people and relatives describing staff as kind, respectful and approachable. People said they felt safe, and staff understood safeguarding and incident reporting well.

However, the CQC found routine safety checks had missed issues such as damaged handrails and unlocked clinical waste bins, and leaders had delayed escalating a flu outbreak. Response times sometimes slowed at weekends, and activity levels varied, with some people experiencing limited engagement. Governance needed strengthening to ensure risks were identified and addressed promptly.
