Addison Court

Addison Court provides personal and nursing care to up to 70 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 62 people were using the service. The home did not always investigate concerns about care robustly or support people raising them. The safeguarding log failed to accurately record actions taken or lessons learned from reviewing safeguarding concerns. Risk assessments were not consistently completed and mitigated. While sufficient staff numbers were on duty, increased use of agency staff presented challenges—these workers reported not knowing people's needs well enough. The provider had not completed recruitment of permanent staff to address this gap.
