Rose Lodge

Rose Lodge provides residential care to 43 people, some living with dementia. Residents feel safe and secure, and report positive relationships with staff, though some noted that staff did not always have time for quality one-to-one interactions. While sufficient staff were on duty, the management team identified deployment issues and promptly reorganised staff allocation to ensure adequate coverage on each floor.

The home has strengthened its practices since the last inspection. Medicines are now managed safely, record keeping has improved, and care records are accurate and regularly reviewed. Risk assessments for people and the environment help keep residents safe, and an effective infection prevention and control policy is in place with staff compliance. Staff recruitment follows safe procedures and staff receive regular training to support their work.
