Could the NHS fund St Clare's Court's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
St Clare's Court provides residential care and personal support to older people and those living with dementia, accommodating up to 58 residents across two floors in a purpose-built facility. At the time of inspection, 41 people were using the service.
The home demonstrated several strengths in its infection prevention measures and operational practices. Visitor checks were implemented to reduce transmission risks, and admissions were processed safely with appropriate safeguards. Staff had access to personal protective equipment and received support in using it correctly. The premises were well-maintained with regular cleaning routines in place, ensuring the environment remained clean and tidy throughout the home.
