Chilton Care Centre is a purpose-built care home accommodating up to 40 people, some living with dementia, spread across two floors in its own grounds. At the time of inspection, 34 people were using the service. The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices, with all staff, contractors and visitors using appropriate personal protective equipment safely.

Adequate PPE supplies were hygienically stored throughout the building, with alcohol gel stations positioned accessibly and hand washing facilities available for staff. All staff members, including those in catering and housekeeping roles, had completed training in infection prevention and control, covering PPE procedures, hand hygiene and Covid-19 related guidance.
