About Woodham Lodge

Woodham Lodge is a residential care home in County Durham, providing accommodation and personal care for people with a learning disability. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Woodham Lodge is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to six people with a learning disability, in a bungalow with a shared garden. The CQC found the service was performing well, with previous concerns around governance, infection control and equipment now resolved.

Inspectors found a positive, person-centred culture, with staff who knew people well and involved them and their families in care planning. Medicines were managed safely, consent and mental capacity assessments were in place, and independence was actively promoted. Families and visiting professionals gave consistently positive feedback about the caring, attentive staff and responsive management.
