Roche Abbey Care Home

Roche Abbey Care Home provides personal and nursing care to older people and young adults, including some people living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding a strong learning culture, thorough investigation of incidents, and well-managed risks. Some cleaning, fire door and window restrictor issues were identified but resolved during the assessment.

Inspectors found staff kind, skilled and well-supported, with medicines managed safely and good teamwork with other agencies. Some people and relatives raised concerns about staffing levels and activities, and the manager was already addressing these by recruiting an additional activities coordinator. Most people described feeling safe, well cared for and happy with their food and healthcare access.
