While quality monitoring systems exist, they are not always effective and failed to identify several areas of concern discovered during the inspection, including infection control shortfalls and risk management gaps. The home's approach to nutrition and weight loss management was identified as requiring improvement.

Staffing levels were adequate on the inspection day, with the registered manager using a dependency tool to determine appropriate numbers. However, inspectors observed that care delivery was often task-orientated with set times for specific support rather than being person-centred, meaning staff followed set schedules rather than responding flexibly to individual residents' needs and preferences.
