Waterside Grange

Waterside Grange is a residential care home providing nursing and personal care to older people and younger adults. The CQC found the service required improvement, remaining in breach of regulations relating to safe care and treatment and to good governance, as at the previous assessment. Risks to people had not always been identified or managed, and some incidents had not been thoroughly investigated.

A new management team had begun addressing concerns, but changes needed further time to embed.

People said staff were kind and caring, and felt safe, though not always fully involved in planning their care. Residents were positive about cleanliness and medicines management, but complaints and staff concerns raised on people's behalf had not always been handled promptly. Frequent changes in management had left many people and relatives unsure who the manager was.
