About Ridley Park

Ridley Park is a nursing home in Northumberland, providing care for older adults, including people living with dementia. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

This nursing home accommodates up to 59 older adults, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 57 people were living at the service. Most residents felt safe, and staff demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding procedures to protect people from harm, having received appropriate training.

However, a safeguarding investigation was underway at the time of inspection, revealing lapses in some staff adherence to the provider's safeguarding policies and procedures, including by the previous registered manager.

Medicines were generally well managed throughout the home. The inspection team made recommendations to enhance existing procedures and improve quality assurance systems around medication management.
