Blythgate Manor

Blythgate Manor, in Northumberland, provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 60 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, 51 people were living there. The CQC rated the home Good overall, with an Outstanding rating for how caring staff were.

Inspectors found a warm, well-led service where staff knew people well, respected their individuality and supported them with genuine compassion. Care was personalised, risks were managed safely, and communication with families and professionals was strong. A minor issue was identified around ensuring people on modified diets always received the correct meal, and refurbishment work was ongoing to improve the environment.
