Riccall House Care Home

Riccall House Care Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 18 people, including older adults living with dementia. At inspection, 16 people were using the service. The detached property spans two floors with a stair lift to assist access, and residents described the environment as homely, clean and safe. Systems are in place to monitor and manage all aspects of health and safety.

People and their relatives expressed happiness with the care provided and confidence in the registered manager and staff. Residents receive medicines as prescribed by trained and competent staff, and staff are recruited safely with relevant training for their roles. The service provides engaging and enjoyable activities. Staff are trained to recognise and report abuse and neglect, and managers lead by example, creating an open atmosphere where feedback is encouraged to improve the service.
