A person-centred approach has enabled positive risk taking that respects people's rights and freedoms. The home has introduced innovative therapies to manage risks associated with mental wellbeing, new equipment to reduce skin damage and falls risks, and health and safety training includes mock emergency scenarios to ensure staff competence.

Staff recruitment includes thorough checks to ensure suitability, and people are supported by sufficient staffing levels.
