Perrywood House

Perrywood House supports up to seven adults with complex needs and behaviours associated with Prader-Willi Syndrome and learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, six people were using the service. The home is designed around values of choice, independence and inclusion, enabling people to live as ordinary a life as possible. Staff understand their safeguarding responsibilities and work to protect people from harm. The service carefully plans food intake for residents, recognising the particular challenges that come with Prader-Willi Syndrome, which can lead to life-threatening obesity. People are supported to maintain their health and wellbeing through access to relevant health and social care professionals. Medicines are managed safely and people's risks are assessed regularly as their needs change.
