Staff support people to maintain an environment suited to their needs and preferences, encouraging maximum choice and control over their daily lives. People are supported to access health and social care services, have their medicines managed safely in their preferred way, and are helped to make decisions following best practice.

Staff communicate with people in ways that meet their individual needs and support them with daily living activities and pursuing hobbies and interests. Staff operate using the least restrictive practices possible and in people's best interests, with policies and systems in place to support this approach.
