Oaklands

This care home provides residential and nursing care for up to 15 adults with learning disabilities or other complex needs. At the time of inspection, 14 people were living at the home. The model of care maximizes people's choice, control and independence, with staff supporting them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. Staff support people to take part in activities and pursue their interests in their local area, and help them access specialist health and social care in the community when required.

People receive person-centered care and are treated with dignity and respect. Staff support people to take their medicines safely and in line with best practice. The home is clean and tidy with monitored infection control procedures. Risk assessments are in place and reviewed regularly to ensure they accurately reflect people's needs, providing clear guidance and direction to staff.
