Moundsley House

Moundsley House provides personal and nursing care to up to 60 people, with 47 residents at the time of inspection. The home specialises in supporting adults living with dementia as part of a purpose-built care village. Staff assessed and managed people's risks and needs well, and resolved environmental issues promptly without impacting safety. Medicines and infection prevention and control were managed well, with staff receiving appropriate training to handle medicines safely.

Care plans were regularly reviewed and in place, though they would benefit from greater detail to better support new and agency staff. Staff sought people's consent before providing support and enabled residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, supporting them in the least restrictive way possible. The registered managers provided oversight with quality assurance systems in place, though further development of these systems would help identify environmental issues more effectively.
