Mewsbrook House

Mewsbrook House provides care and accommodation for up to 50 people, including nursing care for older persons, those with dementia, mental health needs, substance misuse issues, and physical disabilities. At inspection, 46 people were living at the home. The service had made required improvements to its environment and implemented stronger quality assurance systems to monitor standards and drive continuous improvement. These systems assess and mitigate risks while ensuring care is person-centred and that the provider learns from any mistakes.

The home's environment is pleasant and enables people to move around and orientate themselves easily. Staff are well-trained, dedicated, and enthusiastic. Residents reported feeling safe, relaxed, and treated with kindness by staff. They confirmed there are enough staff to support them and expressed satisfaction with the care they receive, which meets their needs and improves their wellbeing.
