This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to up to 35 people with mental health needs, including complex and enduring conditions and substance misuse. At inspection, 34 people were using the service.

Inspectors observed that people did not always follow the home's smoking policy and smoked within the premises, putting themselves and others at risk. While the registered manager and staff were aware of this issue and had reiterated the policy at various meetings, a robust assessment of risk had not been completed to identify all risks and implications.
