Fulford Care & Nursing Home

Fulford Care and Nursing Home provides accommodation with nursing and personal care for up to 74 people, including those with clinical nursing needs, end of life support, dementia, and some people with a learning disability. The CQC rated the home good overall, following an assessment prompted by safety and management concerns.

Inspectors found staff kept people safe, medicines were managed well, and there were enough staff on duty. Care was person-centred, with kind interactions and good access to healthcare. However, a breach was found in governance: quality monitoring was inconsistent, risks were not always managed safely, and the Mental Capacity Act was not always applied properly.

Feedback on staff kindness, food and cleanliness was mixed.
