Mavern House Nursing Home

Mavern House Nursing Home provides accommodation with nursing care for up to 54 people, including those with clinical care needs. At the time of the assessment there were 50 people living there. The CQC's assessment was prompted by concerns about clinical safety, and found the service was performing well overall, rated Good.

Inspectors found enough staff, safe infection control, and effective safeguarding and clinical governance. Some gaps remained in recording lessons learned and updating care plans, and in protocols for "as required" medicines. People and relatives spoke warmly of kind, approachable staff and an open, supportive management team.
