About Brunel House

Brunel House is a nursing home in Wiltshire, providing nursing and personal care for older people, including those living with dementia. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Brunel House provides nursing and personal care for up to 65 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia, across three floors of the building. The CQC assessed the home after concerns were raised about early morning care and management, but found no evidence to support these. Inspectors found the service had improved and was no longer in breach of regulations, with better risk management, staffing and governance.

A new registered manager was leading improvements, and staff carried out regular quality checks. Some maintenance work was still needed, though a maintenance person had now been employed. People felt safe and well cared for, with good activities, healthcare links and family involvement.
