About Blenheim House Care Home

Blenheim House Care Home is a nursing home in Wiltshire, providing nursing and personal care for adults, including those living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC's most recent assessment found.

Blenheim House Care Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 85 people, including those living with dementia, and was supporting 69 people at the time of assessment. This followed an earlier finding of poor governance, which the CQC found had since been resolved. Under a new registered manager, staff felt well supported, worked closely with healthcare professionals, and were recruited and trained safely.

Some shortfalls remained. Inspectors found unassessed environmental hazards, inconsistent risk and care plan information, and some time-specific medicines not given promptly. Incident learning and DoLS notifications also needed improvement.

People living there said they felt safe, liked the staff, and found management approachable, though some experienced delays with call bells.
