Magna Nursing Home

Magna Nursing Home provides personal care to younger and older adults with physical disabilities, dementia and mental health needs, supporting up to 35 people across two floors. At the time of inspection, 25 people lived at the home. Inspectors found people were safe, with risks properly assessed, monitored and managed. Staffing levels met people's personalised care needs, and staff followed good practice guidelines for infection prevention and medicine administration. The home was clean and tidy.

People received support to access health and social care professionals as needed. Dietary needs were assessed and included in care plans, with people receiving sufficient food and drink. A resident said, "I feel very safe and happy, the carers look after us well," while a relative commented, "The food is good quality and all residents are fed well." People reported being happy with menu variety and choice. Various activities were available for people to engage in according to their preferences.
