Everdale Grange

Everdale Grange in Leicester is a nursing home for up to 68 people, including some living with dementia, with 15 short term beds for people recovering after a hospital stay. The CQC assessed the service after concerns about safeguarding and risk management, but found it remained Good overall. The provider had reviewed lessons learnt and made improvements, including refresher training and better staff competency checks.

Inspectors found enough staff in place, safe recruitment procedures, and staff who felt well supported. Care records and risk assessments were detailed and regularly reviewed, medicines were managed safely, and staff worked well with an onsite therapy team. People and relatives spoke positively about the kind, attentive care, feeling involved in decisions and confident raising concerns.
