Madeira House

Madeira House, in Lincolnshire, is a residential care home for older people living with dementia and those with physical or sensory impairment, supporting up to 51 people. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 22 people were living there. The service had previously been in breach of regulations over governance and staffing, but inspectors found enough improvement had been made and it is now rated Good overall.

Inspectors found people were cared for by kind, well-trained staff, with safe recruitment and effective safeguarding in place. Some shortfalls remained, including gaps in risk assessing, minor infection control issues in the kitchen, and quality assurance processes not always used effectively. People and relatives spoke positively about the new registered manager's impact on culture and care.
