About Lumley Residential Home

Lumley Residential Home is a residential care home in County Durham, providing personal care to older people, including those living with dementia, and to adults with learning disabilities through its associated Jeffrey Court facility. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

This care home accommodates up to 40 people needing personal care support, including older people living with dementia. A separate seven-bed facility called Jeffrey Court provides care for adults with learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, 27 people were living across both services.

Staff regularly sought residents' opinions and involved them in discussions about their support, providing information in ways they could understand. People reported being able to choose their own social interests and activities in the local area, with staff supporting them flexibly to pursue these. Residents described their support as available when needed and tailored to the level of assistance they required.
