Cosin Lodge

Cosin Lodge is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to four people with a learning disability and/or autism. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised about safeguarding and culture, and found no issues. The rating has improved from requires improvement to good, with inspectors noting better practice around restrictive practices and least restrictive support.

Staff were found to understand safeguarding, medicines were managed safely, and there were enough trained staff providing person-centred care. People were treated with kindness, given choices, and supported to build independence. Relatives and an advocate described staff as caring and attentive, and inspectors observed positive, settled interactions throughout.
