Long Meadow Care Home

Long Meadow Care Home is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 35 people, supporting adults under and over 65, those living with dementia, and those requiring mental health support. At inspection, 32 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that people were protected from abuse and neglect, with medication managed safely and learning embedded when issues occurred. Staff were caring, respected people's privacy, and promoted dignity. People received personalised support with a wide variety of activities offered, and were supported to eat and drink healthily while staff coordinated access to health and social care services. However, infection prevention and control practices were not always followed, and governance oversight failed to identify some issues, including incomplete risk assessments and missing mandatory recruitment checks. Renovation works were underway at the premises.
