Westfield House Care Home

Westfield House provides nursing and personal care for up to 31 people in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, 23 people were living there. The home had strong systems in place for safe admissions and followed national guidance on personal protective equipment, with clear signage on correct PPE use and handwashing techniques. A detailed risk assessment managed visitor safety through a booking system, visitor agreement forms, health screening, and PPE use, with alternative measures like video calls offered when local restrictions were in place. The environment was very clean, with additional cleaning of frequently touched surfaces taking place regularly. Staff handovers were conducted electronically to prevent gatherings, and each staff member had received detailed risk assessments and health risk assessments following consultation about their specific concerns.
