Keb House Residential Home

Keb House accommodates up to 18 older people, including those living with dementia, across two adapted areas. At the time of inspection, 14 residents were living at the service. Staff and residents spoke positively about the management, and inspectors observed a positive, caring culture where people were treated with dignity and respect. Residents reported feeling safe and well looked after, expressing happiness with the care they received.

However, quality monitoring systems were not always effective in identifying and addressing issues, and safety was compromised by irregular checks. Medicine practices did not consistently align with best practice guidelines, and staff did not always receive training tailored to residents' individual needs. While recruitment processes were generally safe, records lacked thoroughness. Care plans included up-to-date risk assessments that were regularly reviewed, and staff followed support plans to help keep people safe.
