About Honey Lane Care Home
Honey Lane Care Home is a residential care home in Essex providing accommodation and personal care for people with dementia-related needs. Further details from the Care Quality Commission's most recent inspection are set out below.
This care home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 41 people with dementia-related needs, with 33 residents at the time of inspection. Staff receive regular safeguarding training and risk assessments are in place to manage potential risks. While monitoring charts used to track risks were not always completed effectively, the newly appointed manager has improved oversight in this area.
Staffing numbers have been increased to ensure people's safety, and recruitment procedures are robust.
Residents receive personalised care and enjoy participating in activities, hobbies and events they choose. People are confident about how to raise complaints if needed. The home has identified some inconsistencies in quality assurance processes and is working to strengthen these.
Minor improvements were needed to medicine processes, and the provider has recognised the need to review care plans more thoroughly.
