Hollywood Rest Home Limited

Hollywood Rest Home provides residential care for up to 36 older people, some living with dementia. During inspection, 29 people resided at the home. The registered manager and staff responded quickly to COVID-19 cases, repurposing the first floor to isolate affected residents with designated staff assigned to that area. Measures included social distancing through separate lounges, restricting communal area access, and allocating staff to specific areas to minimise infection spread. All visitors had their temperature recorded and were required to wear PPE including masks, gloves and aprons.

Relatives could access digital care records to view care plans and daily updates in real time. Staff engaged residents in varied activities including singing, dancing, games such as play your cards right, and coffee mornings to promote wellbeing. For one resident, staff arranged a blanket made from pictures sent by family members, demonstrating personalised care.
