Hexthorpe Cottage provides accommodation and personal care for up to two young people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder who may have mental health needs. At the time of inspection, two people were using the service. The home is located in an ordinary, family setting that integrates well within the community, offering residents good access to local shops and nearby countryside for walks.

Care and support at the service is person-centred, promoting people's dignity, privacy and human rights. People are supported in the least restrictive way, with education and learning promoted throughout. Staff ensure residents lead confident, inclusive and empowered lives through an ethos that prioritises their independence and choices.
