About Hayes Court

Hayes Court is a nursing home in Croydon, providing residential and nursing care including support for people living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Hayes Court is a nursing home in Croydon for up to 55 people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found the service Requires Improvement overall. People and relatives spoke warmly of kind, attentive staff, good food and enjoyable activities, and inspectors observed calm, respectful care.

However, inspectors found weaknesses in safety and governance. Medicines were not always managed safely, environmental risks such as unsecured windows and unalarmed fire exits were not properly controlled, and audits failed to pick up these issues. Record-keeping was inconsistent and some notifications to the CQC had been missed.

The provider was found in breach of regulations covering safe care and treatment and good governance.
