Acorn Lodge - Croydon

Acorn Lodge is a residential care home in Croydon that supports up to 35 older adults, many of whom live with dementia. At inspection, 31 residents were living in the adapted building, which is located next door to another care home managed by the same provider.

The home had implemented robust systems to protect residents during the pandemic. Visitors and external staff had their vaccination status and lateral flow tests checked before entering. The provider ensured spare tests were available for those unable to obtain one beforehand, removing barriers to visiting and maintaining infection control measures.
