Governance arrangements were not consistently identifying these shortfalls. Fire safety improvements were needed, including work on fire doors and the loft area, though the manager confirmed action was underway following the inspection.

The home faced significant concerns around medicines management, with body maps not in place for people receiving topical cream support. Additionally, some residents lacked adequate assessment or support plans for their individual health needs, putting them at risk of receiving inadequate care. Recruitment procedures also required improvement, as not all staff had references and risk assessments completed before starting work. Following inspection, the home implemented body maps for residents and provided staff training in applying topical creams. On the nursing floor, residents lacked a dedicated dining room, affecting their ability to have communal dining experiences.
