Eastside Gardens

Eastside Gardens, in North Tyneside, provides accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 90 people, including those living with dementia or with nursing needs. The CQC rated the home Outstanding overall, praising the warm, homely environment, highly skilled staff and exceptional, person-centred care. Inspectors found leadership strong and responsive, with excellent training, activities and family involvement.

Residents and relatives spoke very highly of the care and atmosphere, describing staff as kind, attentive and part of "one big happy family". Some minor inconsistencies were found in medicines records, though no one had come to harm, and the registered manager had already acted to strengthen checks.
