Gorton Parks Care Home

Gorton Parks Care Home is a nursing home providing personal care and accommodation for up to 120 older and younger adults, including people with physical disabilities and dementia. Following a follow-up inspection, the CQC rated the service inadequate overall and placed it in special measures, finding six breaches of regulations covering safety, nutrition, staffing and leadership.

Inspectors found risks to people were poorly managed, medicines were unsafe, and staff lacked training to meet complex needs. Nutrition, hydration and hygiene support were inconsistent, health needs went unmet, and people spent long periods isolated with little meaningful activity. Governance remained ineffective, and leaders had not shown sustained improvement despite earlier warnings.
